Aptitude Software, a leader in finance data management and accounting solutions, is on the lookout for a dynamic, experienced, Functional Solutions Consultant to boost our Sales team’s initiatives. Situated in London, you’ll play a key role at the cutting edge of financial technology. Our focus is on developing solutions tailored specifically for the Office of the CFO, ensuring we address the unique challenges and requirements of our clients as a best of breed vendor.
We are looking for an accomplished, self-motivated Solution Consultant with a strong Finance and Technology pedigree from working with global organisations. The ideal candidate is an industry expert and trusted solutions consultant that loves operating on the front line of sales organisations, working directly with, and presenting to prospects and partners.
The role requires financial Accounting, Financial Data and/or Financial Systems expertise ideally in the FSI sector, acting as a peer to our prospects. Whilst FSI is a priority sector, this role requires adaptability and a thirst for learning as we identify and develop use cases and clients in additional sectors.
As a pivotal member of our Solutions Consulting team, you will:
Support the Regional Team in Achieving Annual Recurring Revenue Targets.
Lead and support the crafting of tailored demonstrations of our solutions, ensuring they meet the specific requirements of prospective and current clients.
Engage in product configuration, playing a crucial role in showcasing the strengths of Aptitude’s offerings.
Facilitate and actively participate in client workshops, contributing to the collaborative effort of understanding and identifying how Aptitude’s solutions can solve client challenges.
Respond to formal procurement requirements, including Requests for Information, Proposals, and facilitate responses to Security and Technology Reviews.
Proactively work with our alliance partners to keep abreast of industry moves and the latest trends.
Build 1:1 relationship with key stakeholders to influence the opportunity.
Drive Best Practice both within the region and globally - building on your experience in other organisations.
Travel regionally and domestically, seizing opportunities to engage clients face-to-face and collaborate closely with our Sales team in London.

Job requirements
The ideal candidate is someone who thrives under pressure, enjoys solving complex problems, and is keen on making a significant impact in a
revenue-generating role. You will have:
Extensive experience with the office of finance either as:
A Functional Consultant or Pre-Sales Consultant in a Finance Technology Company,
Big 4 advisory or consultancy, ideally with accounting accreditation
Senior in-industry experience in finance transformation, finance systems or finance data
A robust understanding of the financial systems landscape and data flows
Deep understanding of industry Accounting Principles and Reporting Requirements, ideally in the FSI sector
Ability to work with prospects to interpret their accounting requirements and develop designs and configure our solutions for demonstrations and POCs
Be able to articulate and visualise complex challenges simply with a focus on the value
Confidence in asking challenging questions and ability to think on your feet to address client concerns
Exceptional problem-solving abilities with a solution-oriented approach.
Outstanding communication skills, capable of building strong relationships and effectively conveying critical information to all stakeholders.
A knack for understanding client objectives, translating challenges into actionable and logical requirements, especially when developing Proofs of Concept.
Highly intelligent, creative and innovative, but with the discipline and hands on approach and personal drive to achieve practical results.
A strong network in the finance ecosystem and experience working with partners, including the Big 4 accounting firms
Creativity in designing practical solutions that highlight the best practices based on our products and capabilities.
A commercial acumen to aid in RFP and RFI processes and a passion for driving tangible results.
A commitment to continuous personal and professional growth, keeping pace with the rapidly evolving tech landscape.
Nice to have:
Experience with common technologies such as Python, REST and ETL tools
Programme Management or Track Lead experience with a large ERP or transformation project
